New Blog

During my time as an art teacher at MPPS I have had many conversations with parents about how to encourage their children to do more art at home. They are not always sure where to start. They are looking for ideas or activities. So I have started created a list of sites that have a great range of activities that children of all ages will like. Check them out below.

Profession Development- Visual Diaries in the Artroom

image imageimageOn Thursday Night I was lucky enough to attend a Profession Development session with the author the new art books ‘Guide to Visual Diaries’.

We have been working on setting up a process with the year 3-6 students on how to use a visual diary as a tool to record information, test out ideas and processes and as a record of our learning in the art room.

This profession Development session game me any ideas and planning tool that I have already started to use in the classroom and in my planning for next term.

A great way to be inspired and get those creative juices flowing.

Easter Masks

As we approach the holidays I have been busy planning some fun activities for the F-2 students. The foundation students will be making some fun Easter masks that they will use for a fun Easter drama activity.

I would like to thank the two fantastic parents who cut out the 100 masks for us. What would I do with out help from these lovely families. Thanks again. image image image image image image
